Speech recalling that the main purpose of ICIMOD, founded in co-operation with the Government of His Majesty the King of Nepal and UNESCO, is to provide all countries of the Hindu-Kush-Himalayan region with the scientific knowledge and qualified personnel needed for the implementation of integrated development activities
