Basic considerations on typology of training

Meeting paper on a typology of museum training, based on replies to 180 questionnaires, for the restoration and conservation of monuments, examines in particular conservation techniques as applied to architecture and to museum works of art - discusses the educational needs of museum personnel and the necessary curriculum development, with mention of conservation for various types of objects, including historic monuments, paintings and other movable cultural property, refers to the importance of international cooperation and specifically to the role of the International Centre in Rome, provides the questionnaire used in the study as well as information on training courses in this field on various academic levels
