Meeting report on scientific programmes dealing with engineering, science and technology aspects of world energy problems, with stress on the development of non-conventional energy resources - examines both conventional and non-conventional energy sources and the importance of the cooperation of international organizations in view of the growing industrialization and energy consumption of developing countries and their inadequate energy supply, considers such fuel resources as fossil fuels, nuclear energy, solar energy, bio-energy, ocean energy, etc., also studies energy conversion, storage and transportation, includes the agenda of the meeting and a paper on the world energy situation and UNESCO's programme, referring to the current energy balance and use of fossil fuels
