Meeting report on the need for diversification of education and teaching methods in the language teaching of foreign languages and second languages, examines present educational trends and educational innovations in this area - reviews teaching materials and educational equipment used, with special mention of the advantages and disadvantages of the language laboratory and portable audiovisual aids, also discusses problems linking diversification to the educational needs of the learners, deals with modern language teaching as part of adult education and refers to relevant educational research related to linguistics, includes suggestions for future action on a language policy for diversification in language teaching
