Curricula for the training of higher technicians and technologists and continuous education

Meeting paper on curriculum planning for engineering education destined for higher technical personnel, namely engineering technicians, so as to enable them to carry out duties under general professional engineering direction - considers the definition of this type of personnel as adopted by EUSEC, refers to their theoretical knowledge, manual skills and managerial skills, examines the possibility of a different type of curriculum for engineering technicians and technicians in industry, considers the appropriate technical teacher training necessary, particularly in developing countries, stresses such forms of life-long education as part-time training courses, evening courses, self-teaching methods, etc.
