UNESCO's activities
Meeting paper on regional cooperation in higher education in Europe, particularly for establishing an international instrument dealing with equivalence between diplomas - discusses the activities of UNESCO in promoting exchange programmes and training abroad, examines comparability of studies, university diplomas and degrees, with reference to the diversification of education in Europe, considers conventions of the Council of Europe, the European Economic Communities, a treaty for the Scandinavian countries and a convention mainly for the Eastern European countries based on socialism, also presents a brief analysis of UNESCO's convention for Latin America and the Caribbean area, mentions conventions in this field in other regions of the world
