Nuclear energy with special reference to Africa
The present paper briefly reviews the status of the reactor systems which may now be considered as industrially proven. It proceeds to draw some preliminary conclusions for the prospects of nuclear power in African countries and to outline the necessary prerequisites for an adequately' detailed study of the economic merits of nuclear power reactors in developing countries. Finally, it briefly summarizes the assistance which the International Atomic Energy Agency can render in this process.
