Report of a panel of experts on the establishment of an African institute for economic development and planning
The following paper will be devoted to some of the social problems that are aggravated by urban life in Africa and thereafter to the activities of the social welfare services that are trying to solve them. It may be worth while to point out here that these problems with which certain families have to cope, and the scope and importance of which may require special attention, are not always representative of the way of life of the majority of the urban population.
