Workshop under scores the role of Voluntary Local Reviews as necessary accelerators of agendas 2030 and 2063

A regional workshop on bolstering the capacity of African countries to conduct and report their local and national reviews of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union’s Agenda 2063 has concluded in Kigali, with a focus on inclusive progress that leaves no one behind. The hybrid workshop was co-organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the African Union Commission. The workshop sought to support local and national governments in conducting voluntary reviews on the implementation of the two agendas and submitting their reports to the 2022 High-level Political Forum for Sustainable Development.
