Remarks by Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, Chief Executive Officer, NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency to The Eleventh Session of the Regional Coordination Mechanism ( RCM Africa) of UN Agencies and Organizations Working In Africa in Support of the African Union and its NEPAD Programme
The 14th African Union summit in February 2010 approved the establishment of the NEPAD planning and coordination agency as the technical body of the African Union within the new architecture the NEPAD head of state and government orientation committee provide strategic leadership to the NEPAD programme while the chairperson of the African Union Commission exercise supervisory authority over the agency.
