The role of sub-national jurisdiction in the efforts to achieve MDGs: final version task brief
This study focused on the urgency of accelerating progress towards the MDGs in Africa and given the potential and challenges associated with the increased role of subnational jurisdiction in this regard two issues are worth exploring The first relates to what subnational governments have done to advance the MDGs agenda. The second deals with what subnational government can do, within the limit of their functional assignment, to improve me prospects of countries to reach the MDGs.
