Mission report : seminar of acp organizations in charge of regional cooperation Brussels, Belgium, 23-26 June 1997
This document is a report of A meeting of organizations in charge of regional cooperation and integration in the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) region was organized from 23 to 26 June 1997 in Brussels. Over 44 representatives and observers participated. The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) contributed one of the lead papers for the meeting. The key objectives of the meeting were to: (i) Assess the progress in regional cooperation in the context of the regional economic integration of the ACP countries; (ii) Evaluate the progress in implementation of integration projects in the framework of the regional indicative programmes under the ACP-EU arrangements; (iii) Discuss coordination arrangements for more effective harmonization of cooperation policies within and among ACP regions; (iv) Examine the role of regional organizations in the future ACP-EU relations post Lome Convention,
