Africa needs shared strategic vision to promote structural transformation, says ECA's Dimitri Sanga

Africa needs a shared strategic vision if its economies are to be transformed to meet the needs of its population, says Dimitri Sanga, the Director of the West African Regional Office of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Speaking Thursday at a workshop to launch activities to restore the methodological Guide to manage Project Cycles (GPC) in Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Sanga said he was convinced that in the absence of that shared vision, not much progress would be made towards structural transformation on the continent. I am still convinced that there will be no emergence or structural transformation of our countries without a shared strategic vision, accompanied by plans for operationalization based on projects and programs formulated, scheduled, implemented and assessed in accordance with international best standards,” he told participants.
