Report on cartographic activity in Zimbabwe 1983/85
The Department of the Surveyor-General in the Ministry Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement is responsible for all geodetic surveys, the National Topographic mapping programme and controls all cadastral surveys undertaken in Zimbabwe. A detailed report cartographic activity in Zimbabwe until 1982 was submitted to the 5th United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Africa in March 1983. This report gives a brief outline of progress in the fields of surveying, mapping and remote sensing for the period 1983-85.
