Marketing of tourism product in Africa

The aim of this report is to draw the attention of participants in the Conference to some of the essential features of overseas travel markets which now constitute a serious handicap for the tourist industry of a number of African countries and to draw pragmatic conclusions that may serve as reliable guidelines for shaping a sound tourism Development policy in the future, both through the efforts of individual countries and through co-operation among several countries in various subregions.
