Africa is not risky for infrastructure investment, says ECA's Lopes

Stressing that Africa is not risky for investment in transboundary infrastructure, ECA’s Executive Secretary, said in New York that the quest for regional integration in Africa made trade and transboundary infrastructure critical and called on sovereign wealth funds to support African development by investing in sustainable infrastructure which is the growth story of the future. The report outlines 16 infrastructure projects capable of enhancing Africa’s regional integration in the framework of the Program for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) and the Dakar Agenda for Action to increase private sector investment in regional infrastructure.
