African economic conference relocates to Addis Ababa
In keeping with the tradition established by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) whereby they take turns to host the annual African Economic Conference (AEC), the three partners, in consultation with the Government of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire. The theme for this year's AEC is "Knowledge and Innovation for Africa's Transformation" and will offer a unique avenue for researchers, policymakers and development practitioners from Africa, and elsewhere, to debate Africa’s soft infrastructure needs and their catalytic impact on speed and scope of economic transformation and inclusive growth. Selected presentations will focus on addressing specific sub-topics related to the overall theme.
