Report on a mission to the republic of Botswana (12-18 November 1980)

Them mission was undertaken from 12 to 18 November 1980 to review the data processing plans for 1he population census to be carried out in August 1981. A mission to assess the data processing needs in relation to the same project (BOT/78/PO1) was undertaken by Mr. George Sadowsky , the UN technical adviser in computer methods from 10 to 15 March 1980 and ended with recommendations regarding equipment’s computer software and data processing' expertise. The final decision taken by the Government for data entry is the acquisition of 5 key edit stations and their installation at CSB: the census work will be carried out using all the data entry units.
