Mission report:Joint ECA/OAU/ADB Experts/NGOs Workshop on the Implementation of the Dakar/Ngor Declaration and the ICPD Programme of Action
The workshop was organized in plenary session and in committees during the plenary sessions participant reviewed session, participants reviewed and discussed modalities of accelerating the implementation of both the DND the PA with a view to ensuring that the targets set are met. Following the Plenary sessions, the Workshop constituted two Committees: Country Experts and NGOs. The Committee of Experts and the Committee of the NGOs deliberated separately on their experiences regarding the implementation of National Population Programs within the framework of the DND and the PA. After the deliberations, each Committee established a small drafting Committee to summarize the conclusions in the form of recommendations which were merged and presented to a resumed Plenary for adoption.
