Summary of secretary general statement on United Nation financial situation
The Secretary-General’s address statement on United Nations financial situation before the General Assembly today, the Secretary-General outlined once again the seriousness of the current UN financial situation and called upon member states to work together at the highest political levels to restore the financial stability of the Organization, to enable it to perform the functions for which it was created. The Secretary-General stated also in his speech that, ultimately, these are the ideas upon which the member states must decide. The Secretariat stands ready to assist whenever called upon.
