A report of the study tour to Zimbabwe and South Africa by the Joint ECA/OAU/ADB secretariat of the African population commission: 23 September to 7 October 1995
The objectives of the study tour (as indicated below) to Zimbabwe and South Africa by the Joint ECA/OAU/ADB Secretariat (hereafter referred to as the Joint Secretariat) of the African Population Commission (APC) were largely achieved. In both countries, the mission explained the objectives and performance (to date) of the APC to the various establishments that it met; obtained the necessary insights into the population and development planning activities in either country; sensitized the various policy makers and planners on the past, on-going and future population and development planning activities in mainstream Africa; exchanged pertinent documents; and, established focal points for future networking.
