ECA backs the Africa BRICS dialogue initiative
The 5th BRICS Summit hosted by the Government of the Republic of South Africa took place in Durban, South Africa on 27th March 2013 on the theme: BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Development, Integration and Industrialization. As part of the Summit, a BRICS-Africa Dialogue was held between the BRICs leaders and the heads of state and government of African countries representing the African Union, the regional economic communities, the NEPAD infrastructure champion initiative and the Chairs of the African Union and African Union Commission. No less than nine African heads of state and government attended the dialogue.
