Opening Address By Patrick Asea Director, Economic and Social Policy Division of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), at the second sub-Regional Workshop of the African Capital Markets Development Program. Mr. Asea, on his remarks highlighted that, The emerging capital markets of North Africa are well poised to benefit from the increased flows of capital from globalization Nonetheless, they face a special set of challenges as they compete with other emerging markets in Asia and Latin America for new issues and investors.
