Statement by Mr. Abdoulie Janneh, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ECA. The Executive Secretary of ECA on his statement highlighted that, Last year’s African Economic Conference was dominated by outbreak of the financial crisis and the need for an urgent and collective response by African countries. We have come a long way since then in assessing the impact of the crisis on growth, export earnings, financial flows and social development.
