Progress report of the Gisenyi MULPOC subregional committee for the integration of women in development : March 1981 to March 1982
The integration of women in development constitutes a vast United Nations programme during the present United Nations Decade for women. The implementation of this programme was determined by the regional conference on the Implementation of National, Regional and World Plans of Action for the integration of women in development held at Nouakchott in 1977. This programme comprised the meeting of the Subregional Committee, training and information seminar at the national and regional levels and specific projects. This programme is aimed essentially at raising the level of training, providing technical training increasing income by establishing and encouraging income generating activities and the progressive elimination of all constraints to the full integration of women in development.
