Report of the inaugural meeting of the subregional committee on the integration of women in development in Central Africa: (Yaounde, United Republic of Cameroon, 10-12 july 1978)

The inaugural meeting of the Subregional Committee on the Integration of Women in the Development Process in Central Africa was held at Yaoundé in the United Republic of Cameroon from 10 to 12 July 1978. The Subregional Committee covers the same States as the Yaoundé' MULPOC, i.e., the Central African Empire, Chad, the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Sao tome and Principe and the United Republic of Cameroon. The representative of UNIDO looked at the integration of women in development as being one of the objectives of the international strategy for the second United Nations Development Decade. The results of the inaugural meeting of the sub regional committee for the integration of women in the development processes and the seminar could provide subjects for consideration at the preparatory meeting on the role of women.
