This guide is intended to assist countries in adopting the improved SNA as fast as possible to provide a comprehensive national accounts and internationally comparable data. Since the 2008 SNA is already endorsed by member states as the new standard for economic accounting, the key issues are when to adopt the 2008 SNA and to what level it should be implemented, with due consideration to available resources.
