Note on the trans-african highways network
This note summarizes the current status of the major trans-African highways and their feeder link identifies the highway sections for which assistance is required and indicates the magnitude of assistance required Five major trans-African highway projects are currently in progress on the continent, namely: the Trans-Saharan Highway; the Mombasa.- Lagos Trans-African Highway; the Dakar-Ndjamena Trans-Sahelian Highway; the Lagos-Nouakchott coastal Highway; and the Cairo-Gaborone Trans-- East African Highway.
