Third general conference of UNIDO preparations in the African region (note by the UNIDO secretariat)
The purpose of this note is to present for consideration by this conference the background and framework of the broad and specific issues of industrialization in Africa In chapter I a review is made of the progress achieved in the implementation of the Lina declaration at both the global and regional level In Chapter II a brief outline is given of the status and problems of African industrialization while in chapter III a summary is given of the objective and scope of preparatory work for the third general conference of UNIDO(here in after referred to or UNIDO III).
