Report of the inaugural meeting of the subregional committee on the integration of women in development
The document focuses on regional meeting on the implementation of National, regional and world plans of action for the integration of women in development, held in Nouakchott from 27 September to 2 October 1977, adopted a resolution recommending that the executive secretary of the Economic commission for Africa (ECA) should take action to establish committees at the Regional level on the implementation of plans of action for the integration of women in development within the framework of the existing ECA Multinational Programming and Operational Centres (MULPOCs). Subsequently, the Third Conference of the Lusaka MULPOC Council of Ministers, held in Lusaka on 4 November 1977, unanimously decided to establish a Subregional Committee on the Integration of women in Development.
