Proposed strategic framework for the period 2018-2019: Part two: bienuial programme plan programme 15 Economic and social development in Africa
The overall purpose of the biennial programme plan is to promote inclusive and sustainable economic and social development in support of accelerating Africa’s structural transformation. This is in line with the priorities and vision articulated in the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) programme, and the internationally agreed development goals, including those contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development and the outcomes of other major United Nations conferences and international agreements concluded since 1992.
