Report on the inter-agency co-ordinating committtee (IACC) on the regional African satellite communications system : Addis Ababa, (Ethiopia) 20 to 24 February 1986

It will be recalled that Africa's political leaders and decision makers in the field of communications have at various fora called for the provision of an efficient and well managed communications infrastructural facilities because they constitute an indispensable element in the efforts of African countries to improve the quality of life of their people and to physically integrate the continent. To achieve this objective, emphasis has been placed on the development of an Integrated Telecommunications network including a Regional African Satellite Communications System.
