The Blantyre statement of African Ministers of Finance on the alternative framework for structural adjustment programmes
The meeting generally concurred with the analysis of the structure of the African economy and of Africa's long-term development objectives as defined in the Lagos Plan of Action. It also took note of ECA's assessment of the shortcomings and weaknesses of the existing stabilization and structural adjustment programs.
