Survey of national policies and measures in crime prevention and criminal justice in African countries
This paper focuses on survey of national policies and measures in crime prevention and criminal justice in African countries. The inadequacies of past development policies the pressure of recession, the burden of external debts, drought and famine, internal strifes and civil wars all have combined to produce sharp falls in the living conditions of the vast majority of people in the region. The situation has accentuated disparities in income distributions; decrease in employment opportunities, as well as in nutrition, health and educational standards in the region.
