Trade relations among countries having different economic and social systems
It will be recalled that at its fifth session held in Manilla, Philippines, from 7 May to 3 June 1979 the Conference did not reach a general agreement on the major substantive issues concerning the development of trade and economic and financial co-operation between developing countries and the Socialist countries of Eastern Europe During that meeting however, the Conference requested member States and the secretariat of UNCTAD to further implement the provisions of Conference resolution 95(lV) of 31 May 1976 adopted in Nairobi.
