Report of the African price statistics programme
The Purpose of collecting price data are widely known and only a few are mentioned here. The planners, administrators and policy makers need timely,accurate and relevant data on prices showing change over time in the cost of goods and services and family expenditures in order to plan, carry out and evaluate programs.
