Report to the CASD by the secretariat: seventh meeting of the coordinating Committee on African statistical Development (CASD)

It should be recalled that the raison d’être for the establishment of the Coordinating Committee on African Statistical Development (CASD) in 1992 was the recognition of the need to ensure the success of technical cooperation at both national and international levels through proper coordination of the various statistical development activities in Africa. The main objective of the CASD is to act as the coordinating body for statistical development activities in Africa and to monitor the overall implementation of the Addis Ababa Plan of Action for Statistical Development in Africa.
