Trends and issues in Africa education: focus on educational developments, structural changes and reforms and curriculum development in sixteen African countries

The reports provide an opportunity for comparative analysis highlighting historical trends in the development of education, organizational structures of education; the aims and goals of education in the sixteen countries; the problems and constraints in the implementation of educational reforms. Problems, constraints, and success in the development, implementation, evaluation, coordination and harmonization of curriculum; how teachers are trained in these countries; the preparation and distribution of educational and instructional materials; and, notable achievements over the last two decades. This cross sectoral review of progress s is made in sixteen African countries in the development of education, particularly the process of curriculum development and its implementation, have been prepared by nationals who know the system, work in the system and are themselves products of the system.
