The first meeting of the Interim Committee to study the establishment of an African Highway Association was held at Addis Ababa from 19 to 20 November 1973 under the auspices of OAU and ECA. The Interim Committee examined the draft constitution-prepared by OAU and ECA and, after detailed discussions, adopted the- draft Constitution, as amended.
