The first meeting of the intergovernmental committee of experts of the Lusaka-based MULPOC was held in Lusaka, Zambia from 18-22 March, 1991. It was the first meeting of the Committee convened in accordance with Resolution 702 (XXV) of the ECA conference of Ministers on transforming and strengthening the Multinational Programming and Operational Centre (MULPOCs) of the Economic Commission for Africa.
