Background information : Regional Inter-Agency Co-ordination Meeting on Population
This paper presents a brief report on the activities of the ECA population Programme Centre from April 1972 - April 1973 and also the implementation of projects entrusted to the centre by the Second Regional Inter-agency Co-ordination Meeting population and the second Meeting of Non-UN Organizations Interested in Population Work in Africa at their last meetings. The African Population Census Programme has become a separate project since 17 January 1973 and is being reported on by the Project Officer of the Programme.
