Report on cartographic activities in Malawi 1966 - 1971
Considerable progress has been achieved in the survey and mapping field during the five-year period under review. Malawi's Department of Surveys has emerged from being basically a cadastral survey unit to a modern self contained survey and mapping organization capable of undertaking all those functions which go into the production and printing of maps. In 1968/69 a new building was erected to house a photogrammetric section, a map revision section and a map reproduction and printing section, and these units are now fully equipped and in operation.
