Report of the seventh ECA/OAU joint meeting on trade and development
The main purpose of the Seventh ECA/OAU Meeting was to prepare an evaluation of the results of the Third Conference for consideration by African Ministers meeting at the Council of Ministers of the organization of African Unity in January 1973 and at the Conference of Ministers of the Economic Commission for Africa in February 1973. Another important objective was to assist African Governments in harmonizing their positions on various issues that are to be discussed at the Twelfth Session of the Trade and Development Board. In addition, the meeting was to review the activities of the Secretariat in the field of trade and finance and make appropriate recommendations for further action.
