Graphenated carbon nanotubes, a method for preparing same and the use thereof as an electrode
[EN] The subject matter ofthe present invention relates toa novel carbon-based material consisting of a carbon xerogel with-high micro-and macroporosity and which is graphenated, doped with an amount of graphene homogeneously distributed throughout the intemal stmcture thereof. Said material exhibits a high specific surface area and high electrical conductivity, thereby conferring excellent electrochemical properties for use as a supercapacitor electro de. Said material is produced by mixing resorcinol, formaldehyde, methanol, a catalyst andan aqueous suspension of graphene oxide, subjecting said mixture to microwave heating and subsequently a carbonisation or activation process. The present invention also relates to the use ofthe nanoporous graphenated carbon-based material as an electrode in supercapacitors
