Autodepuración de las aguas residuales en el litoral de Barcelona
[EN] A study on the disappearence of fecal bacterial pollution in coastal waters off Barcelona, in relationship to several environmental factors, is presented in this paper. Theorical estimates of the bacterial concentrations at different distances from the point of discharge of the effluent, have been calculated (talking account of the dilution factor) and, compared with the real values found. Streptococcus foecalis presented a special sensibility in front of high water temperature. Microbial pollution tends to decrease when a zooplanktonic population is present.
