Homemade Plankton Net
As you may already know, plankton are quite diluted in seawater, especially the larger ones (zooplankton). As I mentioned in the post “Sampling plankton,” we use plankton nets of varying complexity to catch these creatures. However, you can easily make your own plankton net using simple and inexpensive materials. All you need is a large plastic bottle, a nylon stocking, scissors, and some duct tape or electrical tape
