Paracartia grani family
Left to right Paracartia grani adult female, copepodite and the very small nauplius. Due to transparency of their exoskeleton, we can see the digestive system in red colour because they eat the alga Rhodomonas salina, which has a peculiar red pigment. You can also see little oil droplets inside the body. From the hatching to the adulthood, the development can take 3 weeks
