Chemical control of Chinese taxillus on rubber trees.
Chinese taxillus (Taxillus chinensis, Loranthaceae) is commonly found as a parasite on mature rubber [Hevea brasiliensis] trees in Hainan, China. Injecting the chemical compound Miesangling 3 into rubber trees indirectly kills the Chinese taxillus. This method is simple and gives 80% control of Chinese taxillus, and yet it is safe to the rubber tree hosts.
