The FAO Statistical Yearbook provides a selection of indicators from FAOSTAT, the world’s largest online agricultural database (available at http://faostat.fao.org/). The yearbook will be a useful reference for those who may also access the data online and is a means of ensuring worldwide access to data on food and agriculture regardless of access to technology. It further constitutes a record of how the FAO Statistics Division is continuously expanding and improving both its inf ormation base and data quality.
