Guidelines on assessing biodiverse foods in dietary intake surveys

To make full use of available food biodiversity to enhance the nutritional status of populations, a better understanding of food biodiversity information in dietary intake is required. Currently, there are few national and regional food consumption surveys that report food biodiversity, particularly at the cultivar/breed level. Co-published with Bioversity International, these pioneering guidelines will facilitate the adaptation of existing dietary assessment instruments to better capture foo d biodiversity.
